Both the teacher and the parent are single but they met whilst the child was in the teacher's class. If favouritism were shown to the child as a result, there might be cause for concern, but otherwise they should be left to get on with their lives without outside interference or just plain nosiness. I can't see it would be a problem..maybe it's considered a novelty did that comedy programme about the woman who worked in a travel agent and whose husband had left her have it as a theme and it was thought lovably quirky?
